to be beyond natural causes, as if they were some angel’s song which
had lost its way and come on earth. It seems as if they could almost do what
in reality God alone can do—soften the hard and angry hearts of people.
No one was ever corrected by a sarcasm—crushed, perhaps, if
the sarcasm was clever enough, but drawn nearer to God, never.

It’s almost unimaginable to me that in the three years since I began this light-headed journey I’ve received emails from nearly every country in the world. I’m not taking note of this in a “wow, I’ve got so many fans” kind of way, because a good many of the emails are from those who’ve inadvertently stumbled onto the site on a certain day, and came upon one particular entry that for whatever reason resonated with them. They may have never visited prior nor will return, but on that one day saw something that compelled them to write me and say “I’ve felt that too, just as you described”. Kind and sincere words that have been music to me.
I’m grateful today for this quiet and peaceful place I’ve created here, where a shy girl who feels too much about most everything, and worries too much about pleasing others, is finally free. It’s really been a self-indulgent endeavor but it’s taught me that just as Joseph Campbell professed, if you follow your bliss you do in fact, “put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living.”
