One of the things that I’m most excited about in returning to light-headed, is that I’ll once again have a place to collect and remember images such as the above, that might otherwise be lost in the dizzying array of shots a photographer accumulates. I used to refer to this photoblog as my personal “island of misfit images”, where a good majority of what I share here are the un-chosen shots, those images that often get passed over by clients. Maybe because they are mostly quiet, or when they do speak they only whisper, and if you’re moving too fast, or making too much noise you’ll surely miss them.

I like this new, very austere blog format where my shy and unassuming images can tell their simple stories without distraction. Not for everyone, certainly, but this suits me well and it makes me happy to slow down in this way so as not to permit such moments to escape.
